BIDS: Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies

BIM: Beneficiary Impact Monitoring - programme of work assessing the effect of FFP on the welfare of intended beneficiaries of FFP. Undertaken by the Management and Evaluation section of FFP

CAS: Catch Assessment Survey - assesses fish production at project waterbodies. Undertaken by the OWFC.

CBO: Community Based Organisation

DoF: Department of Fisheries in the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.

FFP: Fourth Fisheries Project

FFW Food for Work

FMC Fisheries Management Committee - apex CBO at each waterbody supported by project funded NGOs and advised by DoF.

FMP Fisheries Management Plan

FSC Fisheries Sub-Committee - replaced VDC as village level CBO, giving a greater role to professional fishers
