My name is Kazi Ali Toufique. I have done my B.S.S. and M.S.S. in economics in 1982 and 1983, respectively from Dhaka University. I obtained an M.A. from Fordham University in 1987, M.Phil. in 1990, and Ph.D. in 1996, both at the University of Cambridge. I joined the Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, BIDS, in 1989 as a Research Associate. My main areas of research interest are natural resource management, livelihoods analysis, institutional economics, environment and agricultural economics.
